Observation notes: Attracted to the front porch light. It was the first time I have encountered this species. My initial impression was of an Ewok draped in a Turkish carpet. Compact, stocky, and very furry. I thought the distinctive markings would be a slam dunk for a novice like myself. Alas, I was mistaken....
