Observation notes: on a small patch of serpentine. nectaring on a yarrow. most of flowers in area were yarrow, blue head Gilia, grindelia, yellow tarweeds. no buckwheats, except there might have been one plant along the road, away from all the other flowers. Butterfly disappeared shortly after photographed
