Observation notes: Raised from caterpillar on privet (Ligustrum sp., a known host plant of this species). This species was recently introduced from Europe. Caterpillar matches images of larvae, however I did not get any good pictures. Many found all over the shrubs, folding one or multiple leaves into a cell held tightly shut with silk. Pupated on 6/1, hatched as an adult on 6/10.
