Observation notes: We found this Cecropia caterpillar and put it in our insect box until morning with the intention of placing it in an oak tree, however the next morning it had already built a cocoon. So it wintered outside by our house in Toronto and today June 11 it hatched. It still hasn’t left the insect container. We are waiting patiently as of six hours after we noticed it had hatched
