Observation notes: The Ambush bug, Phymata fasciata, had killed the butterfly and was holding it tightly when I approached. The wind was blowing the white Beggar's Tick flower, Bidens alba, to and fro. Notice a tiny white spider on the green stem next to the Ambush Bug.
