Observation notes: Observed flying around pines as well as low to the ground where they were observed nectaring on several species of flowers including Bluebell (Harebell) and Hairy Golden Aster. Two also alighted on my wife's backpack which is a light green color (photographed at 10:27). A second individual was photographed on a Hairy Golden Aster at 11 am. A third was photographed on a Bluebell at 11:14 a.m. Some 15 or so were observed in total.
