Observation notes: Butterfly/moth was sitting in my dog's dish. It moved it's wings pretty constantly..I had to take several pics to get one with the wings open. It didn't move even when I got within 8 it so inches. We have partly sunny skies and the temp is around 90 F. No wind. Location: On Yellow Creek in Northport, Alabama. Only a few residences. Secluded and lots of trees, etc.
