Observation notes: Last year, my "Monarch butterfly garden" had many occupants !!! I am sure I counted at least 30. This year, not only is their is not as many but they were late starting compared to last year. I still have one in chrysalis at the moment and another in 5th instar...about to transform. Those 2 + the one I rescued which was not looking good and was found in an area with no milkweed present.
