Observation notes: Insect was feeding I guess on a canna lily. It stayed for almost 2 minutes. The day was sunny with no wind. The insect occasionally flew around the flower and then settled on it again. I don't know if it's a butterfly or moth. Location: Yellow Creek, Northport, Alabama. Wooded and secluded area with few neighbors. Within 50 yards of the creek.
