Observation notes: It was very windy with gusts up to 30 mph. The butterfly moved quickly from one plant to another and didn't spend much time at any. Since last week several flower species have appeared, and the butterfly busily visited these. It was difficult to get a super clear photo because in addition to the almost constant movement of the butterfly, it often paused behind vegetation that created shadows on the insect.
