Observation notes: This moth was on my front steps this morning when i went out to walk my dog. I took out my phone to take photos. I wondered....what is this creature? Is this a pollen carrier? If not, why is he/she/them/they designed like this??? I wanted to get a photo with the wings spead. Although i did not want to scare or hurt the creature, i gently touched it, and voila, the wings spread wide open. It never flew away but stayed to model for me then retired to a nice resting spot beneath a step ledge.....
