Observation notes: Warm, sunny morning. Spotted it resting in the middle of the sidewalk. I approached to get a photo but had my dog with me. As the dog put his nose toward the moth, the moth puffed up its body and slowly pulsed its wings but did not fly away. (We didn’t touch the moth, just got a photo and left.)
