Observation notes: Individual was attracted to an outdoor light, and sat beneath it on the wall vibrating its wings for a number of minutes before approaching the light closer. It has a dark wing pattern with lighter markings, and white hindwings. It has a clearly sectioned hairy body and legs. Its collar is rounded and fuzzy and its antennae are thin. It has a spread wingspan of approximately two inches.
