Observation notes: I need help with this one. It appears to be a Cloudywing, but I can't match the wing markings with anything I have in my books. And perhaps I'm just in the wrong area completely. It wouldn't be the first time. So I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction here.

Coordinator notes: we have two cloudywings in this genus; their uppersides are identical, but you got some ventral coverage so I can see enough (tan ground color vs gray) to be confident of Mexican. check the field guides and see if you agree. other clues might be high elevation and small size, compared to the more widespread and darker Northern Cloudywing.
