Observation notes: Found as a pupa at the end of a bark mine on Malus sp. The mine was entirely linear and appeared as maroonish-red track on branch. The few mines on the tree including the one this pupa was found at the end of were all on newer branches near the base of the tree. The mine ended with a flap of the epidermis being cut away on 3 sides and folded with the pupal chamber made in the flap. The pupa was found on 6/1, and the adult emerged 6/18.
