Observation notes: Hot Day mid to high eighties on needle grass in sagebrush habitat, would startle when walked up to. Fly for a while then land again, taking flight the next time very far away. We only saw two in several hours of searching. This was one of several searches that I have done for this species. I would not have found it with out your help. Thank you very much Ken! Your spot by mono lake, mono county!
