Coordinator notes: Hello Nancy...the area where you took this photo has Melissa Blues that best fit the description of subspecies pseudosamuelis (the type locality is at about 10,000 ft. in the valley along Lake Creek west of Twin Lakes (Lake County). This female is not the Northern Blue but there are many areas where these two blues have mixed together. I've only found the Northern Blue hiking on the Rustler Gulch trail above Gothic (north of Crested Butte). If you come back to this area again in early July, you might try that location to see if you can find the Northern Blue....checking your other submission after this one...take care, Mike
