Observation notes: Fairly large butterfly- about 2 inches across, never seen one in Oregon. We are at 3500 elevation. Weather has been hot and dry and lots of fires in Northern California and eastern Oregon have created smoke around us but our area is fairly clear. Thinking this may have caused this butterfly to travel outside its normal zone.
Status: Stray
