Coordinator notes: Joshua, after further review of your images and after reviewing images from another Albuquerque area photographer, I feel confident that this Meridian Duskywing. I was persuaded by the dorsal forewing, which has the appearance of a patchwork quilt: dark shapes stitched together with light blue thread. It is not new for Bernalillo County, but it is the first report in some years. I suspect it is not a full-time, long-term resident of the area, but instead it moves in and may breed successfully for a few years, but then is squeezed out and retreats back to its more regular range farther south. now it appears to be back. Thank you for being there, seeing it, photographing it and submitting your sighting to BAMONA!
