Observation date: September 23, 2016

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Long-awaited first for the yard at the time (during the crazy 2015-2016 butterfly season). A somewhat expected southern stray (especially given the year), but not common or regular in Kansas by any means, this remains the only I've seen although I've been looking for them ever since. Seen on a day with strong south winds feeding on lantanas with a number of Cloudless Sulphurs as expected. Large size and white coloration eliminated most similar species, see photos
