Observation notes: Observed flying rapidly and briefly from one tree trunk to another nearby, revealing the bright orange and black hindwings characteristic of the genus. The forewings are amazingly camouflaged to resemble the substrate it is resting on; in this case a Rio Grande Cottonwood trunk.
