Coordinator notes: Jim, this is a good example of a pic that ordinarily I would not be able to ID with confidence because it has a feature consistent with duryi's (the location) and a feature consistent with mejicanus (the dark scales on the hindwing). If the eyes showed more clearly, I could make the call on that basis, but I cannot get a sense of grey vs. green because of the rear view. However, this is the same date and location as the previous sighting, which shows these same features plus the green eyes, so I will call this duryi, too. I went through that laborious explanation for ulterior purposes. thank you!
