Observation notes: This insect seen on outside wall of our home , flew away when i tried to get closer picture. it did have what appeared to be a missing section on its left wing. The surrounding vegetation includes oak trees and crepe myrtle. The area where seen is Central Florida in the city of Altoona. Zip code 32702
