Observation date: March 13, 2022
Date notes: Mid - March 2022
Submitted by: Seth Mueller
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Spotted along the edge of the start of Barrett Stoddard Trail. Caught on a sunny day, weather app said it was in the low 50's, it felt like the high 60's. Weakest flying butterfly I've ever seen so far. It flies very very low to the ground and is soft and slow, but very beautiful.

Coordinator notes: Yes, this is an incredible butterfly that can fly even in late February and early February at 5000' even on the west slope of the Sierra. I have seen two this year, one at that spot a month ago with patches of snow on the ground!-Ken Davenport.
