Observation date: March 31, 2022

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Stopping briefly on trail, and again on Pinyon before moving uphill and out of view. Did not perch for long on the 3 occasions when it did. I'm guessing this is a New Mexico Orangetip based on range, although even this seems a bit east of typical range.

Coordinator notes: tjay, this is a nice record. This one is in the range of ssp. coriande, but it looks rather like ssp. thoosa to me. This happens all the time in this species . . . suggesting that the subspecies are rather poorly delineated geographically. thanks for submitting!
