Observation date: May 29, 2022
Submitted by: Bombyx-Aurelia
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: There were two of them. I saw them alongside a pathway in a public park. They were in the grass, which isn't very long. They were very active and fast.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Hard to know for certain on the ID based on the photos provided, however the bright blue dorsal wing surfaces lined with a black border, and a bright white fringe without checkering would favor G. lygdamus (Silvery Blue). In C. lucia/C. ladon (Northern Spring Azure/Spring Azure), the fringe would be checkered. In C. comyntas (Eastern Tailed-Blue), you would expect to see darker markings/spots or orange spots in the submarginal region of the HW with an associated tail.
