Observation notes: Hiked all morning without seeing one, then hiked a couple of hours and think we saw 6. Only one stopped long enough for a photo. The Giant Swallowtail we saw was typical high flight but the Schaus flew much lower. Nectaring on wild coffee I believe. The area was very dry.
