Coordinator notes: This Ringlet is the California Ringlet, subspecies eryngii. The Common Ringlet (Coenonympha tullia) does not occur in our region. California and Northwest Ringlets (Coenonympha california ampelos) are the same species based on genomics-Ken Davenport
