Coordinator notes: Green and Pahaska are almost impossible to separate based on photos alone. Field guides give some clues, but they are not foolproof because phenotypes overlap. One of the most reliable ways to distinguish them, males at least, is where you find them in the landscape. Male Greens patrol drainage bottoms; male Pahaska patrol hilltops. Top of the volcano . . . this is Pahaska. nice pics, too!
