Western Tiger Swallowtail
Papilio rutulus

Observation date: July 04, 2022
Submitted by: Joshua C
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Gorgeous butterfly perched on a currant of some sort in front of us. It stayed there motionless the whole time we watched it. Tiger swallowtails seem to perch more than two-tailed.

Coordinator notes: this one is pretty beat up, so maybe a little lethargic?
