Blinded sphinx
Paonias excaecata

Observation date: July 08, 2022
Date notes: I saw this moth? last week and was taken back by the leaf shaped wings. I have never seen this before. It has appeared again at our cottage located on Sand Lake Kearney, Ontario. From my searching I believe this to be a Lettered Sphinx. That is just a guess but my desire to find out brought me to your sight and I wish to contribute.
