Observation notes: This moth was abundant here at roadside. They flew up from underfoot and especially from the thick growth of Red-stemmed Ceanothus (Ceanothus sanguineus) which has carpeted the landscape here after a forest fire not many years ago. Perhaps this is a larval foodplant for S. juturnaria?
