Observation notes: Hot, sunny day I was walking in the lawn and saw this large caterpillar in the short grass and moving. I couldn't tell if it had legs or appendages. The small end is the head. The back end had an ice blue horn. Fatter and longer than my thumb. I didn't see it eating.
