Coordinator notes: Summer form. The lone two black spots on the dorsal HW, along with the long striated pattern and "L" shaped comma on the ventral side confirm the ID. Great job getting both dorsal and ventral views! Often times in a "summer form" Eastern Comma, the darkened HW obscures the extra middle spot(s), making only two spots visible and is a common area of confusion with the ID. The "summer form" Gray Comma always has less darkened HWs in comparison, making these lone spots more apparent. -jmgesell
