Observation notes: Warm sunny afternoon at Summer Lake Wildlife Area. Temperature was 80 degrees F. Butterflies were abundant at roadside wildflowers. Photo by R. Larson shows this butterfly feeding on Rubber Rabbitbrush (Ericameria nauseosa).
