Observation notes: Near a floodlight on my deck. iNaturalist suggested Xestia smithii, but that should have a dark patch on the inner part of the reniform spot and all specimens seem to have a very dark (black) marking where the terminal line meets the costa. I also looked at D. rubifera, but that seems like a long shot.
