Observation notes: Saw a small dark, possibly black living animal alight on my Hav-a-Heart trap in the middle of the grassy yard. Could it possibly be a butterfly? Yes! I got my camera out and slowly approached the animal. It must have been a very warm location against that metal surface in full sun. Temperature approx. 75 d. F. Light breeze. Dry. Partly cloudy.
