Observation notes: Warm, sunny day. Wind calm. Habitat: paved turnout at small roadside waterfall. Sunny in the morning, hot rock cliff face, mossy seep with moist roadside ditch, mixed conifer and deciduous forest, roadside forest edge. Patrolling shoulders of road and nectaring. Marys Peak Road before junction with road NF-3010. Found this species flying in all habitats from Highway 34 turnoff on to Marys Peak Road to top of the peak.
