Observation notes: I was thinking it was Coronis. Someone on iNaturalist thought Atlantis.

Coordinator notes: Your thought as Coronis is correct...a female. Females aestivate after mating (a kind of summer dormancy or period of time for the eggs to fully mature prior to laying). Subsequently these butterflies live for a long time, laying their eggs in late summer. Females of the Aprhrodite and Edwards' Fritillary also aestivate for this reason as well. Mike
