Observation notes: Did some research and came to find out that this huge moth's name is a Banded or Vine Sphynx Moth. They're habitat is in Texas along with several other southern states in the US. They feed on grapevines and other fruit vines as a catapillar and flowers and other nectar producing plants as an adult moth. They're brood take flight from May to July and also October to November. One other brood's flight is from July to September. This particular one flew into my living room while I had my door open to feel the cool night air. They're very cool to watch!
