Observation notes: Warm sunny day. I saw several redbud saplings with leaves folded over and many leaves that were skeletonized. The folded portion of the leaves were often secured with thin white threads. When I opened one there was no caterpillar so I tried one more and found a few under one fold. They wiggled and quickly jumped out. The picture shows the only one I could find.
