Observation notes: About 60+ degrees, getting sunny after a drizzly, chilly morning, a bit muddy, and the grass and other vegetation was still quite wet. The caterpillar was on the underside of an unidentified leaf at the verge of a marshy pond. Nearby were American lotus, cattails, poison ivy, smartweed, wingstem, button-bush, hawthorn, willow, maple, locust, various meadow grasses, seed corn.
