Observation notes: Many rabbitbrush shrubs are in flower on low sand dunes and in interdunal areas of White Sands National Park. Several species of butterflies were observed including the sulphurs posted herein nectaring from these flowers. The afternoon was sunny, warm, breezy, and humid from evaporation of previous week's rainstorms.

Coordinator notes: Jim, the little bit of orange visible from backlighting is enough to push these over into Orange Sulphur. Some experts argue that Clouded and Orange are actually one species.
