Coordinator notes: I confess I cannot find a great match for this critter. It seems to lie in the general neighborhood of Sleepy and Tailed Oranges. The brownish areas on the ventral hindwing seem located consistent with cool season Tailed Orange (Pyrisitia proterpia), so I am calling it that. However, to my knowledge (admittedly not extensive) all versions of that species have a HW tail, either subtle or prominent, and yours lacks any hint of a tail. So I could be wrong. If so, I hope someone else comes along to correct me. Consider this a tentative ID.
