Observation notes: I was very surprised when I saw this at first. Some spotted right off the fork on Old Idyllwild Road. Didn’t know these were in the mountains so close to where I live. This small population was only seen on a 50 ft. Segment of the trail, and nowhere else to be spotted, saw about 30 individuals. Temperature was about 65° with sun. What subspecies is this?

Coordinator notes: Possibly subspecies gabrielina, but I would need to examine a series of collected specimens to evaluate them and I personally have no experience with gabrielina-Ken Davenport
