Broad Banded-Skipper
Autochton neis

Observation date: October 19, 2022
Submitted by: ezeemonee
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Feeding at Lantana flowers. At La Laguna Botanical Gardens. Partly cloudy day in the 80’s F with occasional rain.
Status: Resident
Verified by: Paul Prappas
Verified date: March 07, 2025
Coordinator notes: Broad Banded-Skipper has more defined 3 apical FW spots instead of two, which is mostly the case with "Gmelin's" and the askew spot is more disjunct on this individual. Also, Gmelin's band is always broken up, whereas "neis" is not, as is the case with this one. Gmelin's central askew spot is never this askew.
Checklist region(s): El Salvador
