Observation date: June 12, 2023
Date notes: I saw 6 painted lady butterflies this morning at a location one mile west of my first sighting last week. I also witnessed a Red Admiral on the same site at the same time. The site is an abandoned farm yard site surrounded by Japanese lilac trees. Conditions were calm, under sun, but also poor air quality due to Alberta wild fire smoke.
