Coordinator notes: Phaon Crescents are only found in the Deep South US, with strays to North Carolina and one historical record in far southern VA on the East Coast, and MO/NB in the central US and Great Plains. They would not be found in Ontario, even as a stray. Female Pearl Crescents can have lighter bars on the FWs that can look similar to a Phaon. Solid black tips on the antennae clubs would favor a Pearl over a Northern Crescent. -jmgesell
