Date notes: Came out on my front porch- very populated area, scant small gardens, very few pollinators in bloom- my honeysuckle, candytuft, &mostly lilies are all there is due to weather ( my milkweed is not yet blooming)..found this dear fluttering itself to death trapped above in my skylight above the totally open porch. Got a broom to give him a ride down. Fear the sparrows will get him, may put in an open box under a shaded table with any flowers to rest with til evening. 1st one of these I have seen in around 10years- other was 5miles north of here in North Canton, also on my porch, but there I had a thick wooded area and lots of waterways. I am currently 1/2mile south of Meyers Lake. Delighted to see one of these again!

Observation notes: Weather is humid, but quite chilly at low 60s. Had a good bit of rain last evening into the early morning. Poor dear is quite tired after it's feverish flapping for at least 15minutes before coming down on a broom and being put on my chest where it's warmer. Thankfully wings did not tear or shred, and dust does not seem lost.
