Canyonland Satyr
Cyllopsis pertepida

Observation date: July 09, 2023
Submitted by: tjay13
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This one came and landed on my shorts pocket. Nice way to get a lifer, although tough to photograph that way. Luckily when it flew it landed briefly in in the leaves on the shady side of the road for a few seconds. Very "floppy" flight style.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: good observation, tjay. floppy flight is tyical of most satyrs. and this one does land on humans from time to time, showing us who's boss, perhaps.
